This Sunday we are beginning a new sermon series, "Promise and Threat." In preparation for worship please read Genesis 1-2:4. We will look at the Original Promise: A Good World. In the beginning God…and some other stuff. We will begin this series with me doing what many call the prologue to the prologue. This means the introductory information given in the beginning not just in Genesis but the rest of the Bible, and the rest of life. The first verse of the first chapter frames all of creation. “In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth.
