Make Known (Witness Goal 2025-2026)
Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. - from Luke 5:17-26
Witness makes Jesus known in Christ-sharing relationships.
These men who carry a man who is paralyzed are determined that this man on a mat would see Jesus.
They lower him through the tiles of the roof when the house is full. Are we committed to removing whatever obstacles stand between our friends meeting the healing and forgiveness we meet in Jesus?
Christ-sharing relationships take time, but alongside their gentleness is a boldness that Jesus is so good, how could we not want our friends to encounter him? Jesus's response to the man reveals that Christ is more than a good teacher or miraculous healer: he is the One who does what God alone can do.
In 2025-26, FBCM's Witness goal is "to make known what God has done." FBCM builds Christ-sharing relationships with people in Muncie and beyond to spread the good news." We will do that through engaged membership, local partnership, and kingdom citizenship.

Outreach
IU HEALTH Care Network
FBCM is looking for volunteers for a congregational care network program sponsored by Indiana University Health. This is a phone service offered at no charge to people who are isolated and/or have feelings of loneliness. The volunteers known as connectors will donate one hour per week for 12 weeks of conversation. Listen to the other person‘s names and concerns, and help them with other means of assistance to prepare for this. A training session will be held at the church as soon as we have enough available people. We need a minimum of six people to start this program. If you feel led to volunteer, contact Dana Davis.
Muncie Mission Food Pantry
The need for food pantry supplies for the Muncie Mission is great. We are collecting food and hygiene items in a collection basket at the Welcome Center. You can also donate by shopping their Amazon Wishlist. Let's continue to give.
Giving
